Alden Architects required more than a conventional architecture portfolio. The experience needed to feel editorial and highly considered while remaining fast, responsive, and easy to maintain across a growing body of work.
The front end was built with Next.js and React, with Tailwind CSS establishing a precise responsive system for typography, spacing, layouts, and reusable components. GSAP powers the polished transitions, content reveals, hero interactions, and micro-animations, while Lenis and ScrollTrigger coordinate the smooth scrolling and scroll-driven motion throughout the experience.
Sanity CMS provides the editorial layer behind the experience, allowing project listings, project details, imagery, metadata, and journal articles to be maintained without modifying the front-end code. The result is a flexible publishing workflow for adding new projects and publishing journal content while keeping the highly designed presentation consistent.

Alden combines a media-rich editorial interface with motion and interaction without sacrificing the underlying structure of the site. Responsive imagery, reusable components, static production output, and a CMS-driven content layer keep the experience lightweight, maintainable, and consistent as the portfolio grows.
